Six days of channels, workshops, and special group outings on the beautiful island of Kauai.

The 2009 Kauai Retreat schedule is different than in previous years. Instead of touring around the island every day we plan to spend more time around the hotel, relaxing and talking and "enjoying life."  We encourage all attendees to stay at the Sheraton Hotel because this is where the scheduled events will take place, and also the casual time together with Shaumbra is such an important part of the experience. The workshop sessions will be held at the hotel each morning, and the afternoons are set aside for swimming, sunbathing, sailing, massages, casual conversation and fun together at the Sheraton Hotel. We have group events planned for three of the evenings, including an opening-night dinner, a laua and a beach party.

We'll put together a list of optional activities but you'll be responsible for your own transportation. Unlike previous years, we won't have Shaumbra Vans because of the larger size of the group.  If you plan to cozy-up at the Sheraton you probably won't need a rental car, but if you plan to get out in the afternoons to explore the island you'll want to rent a car. We'll put together a complete list of optional activities for each day.

Garden View Rooms
$185.00 per night (single or double), plus 11.41% Hawaii State Taxes
*A deposit equal to two night’s stay is required to hold each individual’s reservation.  Such deposit shall serve to confirm the reservation for the date(s) indicated, and, upon check-in, shall be applied to the first and/or final night of the reserved stay.  This is refundable if notice is received at least thirty days prior to arrival and a cancellation number us obtained.  All deposits shall be charged at the time the reservation is made.
   
Airport Transfers
Visitors to the "Garden Isle" will be arriving at the Lihue Airport (LIH)
located along the southeast coast of Kauai.  This airport is serviced by both local and mainland flights with the primary inter island carriers being Aloha Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.

Sheraton Kauai does not provide airport shuttle service; however, there are several options from which to choose including: rental car, limousine or taxi.  Travel time is about 35-45 minutes depending upon the volume of traffic to the hotel.  There are no freeways on the Garden Isle and few traffic signals so prepare for a leisurely drive to just about any part of the island.
